Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson surprised comedian and superfan Nick Mundy by officiating his wedding during a Miami press junket for San Andreas on Saturday, May 16. Mundy was completely shocked by the impromptu nuptials (so impromptu that he was wearing American flag pants!), which was organized by his now-wife Dilara Karabas.
“It’s a pleasure for me to do this. It’s an honor for me to do this,” the Furious 7 actor, 43, said in a Screen Junkies video. “It’s officially legal and I’m ordained by the state of California. Yeah, I go all out — because you’re my bestie!”
Mundy met The Rock in 2013, and asked him in an interview if he would be his best man. The pro wrestler declined at the time, but more than made up for it. On the big day, the star brought Mundy into an undisclosed room where his family and friends were ready to watch him exchange vows. He threw on a jacket and made sure to comb his hair before his bride arrived.

“My first thought was, ‘Oh sh-t, oh sh-t. I hope Dilara is cool with this.’ The second one was, ‘I have hat hair, I’m sweating and wearing American flag pants,'” the groom told The Hollywood Reporter. “And then my best man and writing partner threw my jacket on me, and the next thing I know, the Rock was walking me down the aisle and the music was starting and I signed the marriage license. The whole thing was insane.”
